When I was little, I used to have make believe classes, which is how my mom knew I would be a teacher one day! My Bachelor's Degree is from the University of Pennsylvania. After that I left to work as a social worker in Montana for a short time. I came to New York to attend Teachers College, Columbia University, where I got a MA in English Education. I have taught English and Humanities at both public and private schools in New York City for the past 12 years. I am currently receiving an Advanced Literacy Specialization Masters Degree from Bank Street College. My areas of interest are adolescent literacy and integrated curriculum.
